This post is part of the Five Minute Friday blog link-up. Where I join up with a community of writers and bloggers of all ages and stages who gather around a single word prompt to free write, unscripted, unedited, for five minutes. This weeks word prompt is {GREEN}. *This post was originally published May 2021

Well Susan and Kate said Green.  So I stared at the blank page for a while wondering what I am going to write. Here are my thoughts about Green.

O\’ Lord, I am thankful and grateful

Every year without fail to see the

Rebirth of your spring green.

The spring green is refreshing

And brings another season of joy

To my soul.

The color green is my second

favorite color alongside purple.

Spring has sprung and brings

Forth the brilliance of the green

Pastures, grass, leaves, and

gardens.

O\’ Lord I am blessed that you

Lead me through the green

Pastures.

Praise and worship erupt within

Me. Renewal abounds.

Green is a new crayon, apples,

Vegetables, freshly cut grass,

And forests to take a walk in.

Green is beginnings.
