FMF— Fix

Oh boy, Kate said fix. Well, there are so many things to write about that need fixed. I could go on about society and humanity, but I\’d end up on a soapbox or end up in a rant. That\’s not where I\’m going today. Besides Jesus came to fix us and he\’s coming back to bring us into eternity with him.

Go

I like to pray about the word prompts, then sleep on it. My thoughts were swirling last night as I went to bed. I prayed for clarity, guidance, wisdom, and understanding. This one was a tough one for me.

Merriam-Webster describes the word Fix as 1a: to make firm, stable, or stationary. 1b: to give a permanent or final form to. 2a: to hold or direct steadily. Also, repair or restore. 

My soul has been a bit weary lately, and I\’ve been intentionally pausing to reflect and meditate on fixing my eyes on Jesus. He is the pioneer and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Stop

I fix my eyes on Jesus; I lay down every weight and burden. Sometimes we know that it\’s easier said than done. But seeking Him and his wisdom through Scripture, and knowing that it is God breathed from beginning to end is comforting.

It allows me to fix my eyes on his words, and because the Bible is our life\’s instruction manual, I know that I can find an answer to anything. I can find peace and comfort, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Fixing my eyes on Jesus reminds me that he is right there beside me. He holds his hand out to me, as he did for Peter when I need help.
