This post is part of the Five Minute Friday blog link-up. Where I join up with a community of writers and bloggers of all ages and stages who gather around a single word prompt to free-write, unscripted, unedited, for five minutes. This week\’s word prompt is {PEACE}
Kate said PEACE— This week\’s word comes at a time pertinent in our current human condition recently.
Please reflect upon these Bible Verses in regards to peace
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8
“Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”
Daniel 10:19
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
Isaiah 53:5
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed.
Let\’s Pray
Father God almighty,
I come before you today, to ask
that you cover over your children
with your mighty right hand.
Those who are oppressed, persecuted, weary, and lost.
That they may discover your abundant peace.
I pray that you calm hearts, comfort souls, and protect your loved ones.
Please shield those who love you; I know that evil will bounce
right off. I pray for those who do not know you yet, that they feel your nudges of love and safety. That they come unto you.
In Jesus\’ name I pray,
Amen
