Musing My Way Through June

I loved that I was able to see a robin’s nest with eggs at eye level. Her nest was tucked away in the grape vines on the fence. Mama Robin was sitting on the fence several feet from me, tweeting her disapproval that I was taking a picture.

Sisterchicks Do The Hula By Robin Gunn Jones, via Joanne Viola. This was such a tenderhearted humorous book. That touched me so and brought me much laughter. (Ps: I ordered the rest of the series through Thrift Books)

Learned

Okay, so this week, I was “Today Year’s Old (51)” when I learned. 

So I’m from Pennsylvania, and I’ve never been to the Poconos. But I thought I “knew” about it. I know about the Pocono Mountains. But I thought the Pocono’s was ONE resort in North Eastern PA. But it’s not. Had I not looked it up, I would not have realized the Poconos have Several resorts, Bed & breakfasts, Inn’s, RV parks, and All kinds of Amusements. Get this— Spread out throughout Several counties. Oh, I laughed at myself. 

Ate

Good old-fashioned meatloaf. Betty Crocker recipe style. You know, the one— from the cookbook that was often given as a gift to newlyweds back in the day. Along with mashed potatoes and gravy and candied butternut squash. Okay, here’s a not-so-secret secret about me. I have to confess my love of anything potatoes. I can survive on potato dishes alone. LOL!
