\”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for it will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it\’s own,\”

Matthew 6:34 NIV

The past is gone, the future isn\’t here yet, so today is what we have to focus on. There\’s a lot going on today that needs taken care of isn\’t there?

Whatever the day holds for you such as, but not limited to doctor\’s appointments, Grocery shopping, Household chores, Taking care of the kiddos, your job.

Maybe your worrying about something serious like health issues, A terminal illness, struggling to make ends meet. Each day you wake up is a new day one, clean slate, what do we focus on for today.

Sure there are some things that need planning for the future, for instance— Planning for marriage, A family, education, Building a house, Changing housing, Bills, Making Doctor\’s appointments, Planning any treatments you may need. Planning for later is time well spent.

However, Worrying about tomorrow is time wasted. Sometimes it\’s hard to tell the difference. Careful planning is thinking ahead and trusting God\’s guidance that things will turn out okay. Worriers are sometimes crippled by fear and anxiety and find it difficult to trust God.

\” Come to me, all you who are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and will find rest for your souls.

Matthew 11:28-29 NIV

Practice The Pause

WHEN TIRED, PAUSE. WHEN IN DOUBT, PAUSE. WHEN STRESSED, PAUSE. WHEN ANGRY, PAUSE. AND WHEN YOU Pause— PRAY.

I don\’t know who wrote that saying, but I\’ve seen it several times.

Sometimes we forget to pause in the moment. We react without thinking, jump to conclusions, panic, and get angry. Sometimes before we know the whole situation (churchleaders.com). When we practice the pause, it gives us time to regroup, become calm, and talk to God.

Some closing quotes to reflect on

Allow your mind to be still and rest in his presence.\”

Rachel K Kidder

\” Don\’t let the enemy try to keep you bound with fear. The devil is a liar. Stay in faith and trust the process. Be still, God has a plan.\”

Germany Kent

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”

Corrie Ten Boom

“The more you pray, the less you\’ll panic. The more you worship, the less you worry. You\’ll feel more patient and less pressured.”

Rick Warren
