A Cheesy, Garlicky Delight

Who doesn’t love a fresh-baked biscuit? And when those biscuits are packed with the flavor of sharp cheddar cheese and the savory kick of garlic, you’ve got a winner. Today, I’m sharing my go-to recipe for Bisquick Cheddar Garlic Drop Biscuits. It’s so easy, you’ll be amazed!

I’m not the greatest baker, but I love using Bisquick, it’s so easy to make quick delights. And, believe me when I tell you that if I can make these, you can make these.

Bisquick: Your Baking Shortcut

What is Bisquick? Bisquick is a pre-mixed flour blend that includes all the dry ingredients you typically need for quick breads, pancakes, and other baked goods. These ingredients often include flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sometimes sugar. This pre-measured mix makes baking quick and easy.

The Benefit of Ease

  • No Measuring: One of the biggest advantages of using Bisquick is that you don’t need to measure out individual ingredients. This can save time and reduce the risk of errors.
  • Consistent Results: Since Bisquick has a consistent formulation, you’re more likely to achieve consistent results with your baked goods.
  • Quick Preparation: Because you don’t need to mix multiple ingredients, you can prepare your batter or dough much faster.

Why Bisquick is Great for Beginners (like me)

  • Simple Recipes: Most Bisquick recipes are very straightforward and easy to follow, even for those who are new to baking.
  • Forgiving: Bisquick is often considered forgiving, meaning that small mistakes or variations in ingredients are less likely to ruin your baked goods.
  • Confidence Booster: Baking with Bisquick can help build your confidence in the kitchen and encourage you to try more complex recipes in the future.

Remember: While Bisquick is a great tool for beginners, it’s still important to follow the recipe instructions carefully and use the correct measurements for any additional ingredients. With a little practice, you’ll be a baking pro in no time!

  7. Using a basting brush, brush melted butter over the tops of the biscuits.

Notes

For a fluffier biscuit, use buttermilk instead of milk. Buttermilk’s acidity helps to tenderize the gluten, resulting in a lighter, fluffier texture.

For a tangier flavor, add a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese to the mix. Parmesan cheese adds a nutty, salty flavor that complements the cheddar cheese.

To make ahead, prepare the dough and refrigerate overnight. Bake as directed. This allows the flavors to meld and the dough to relax, resulting in even more tender biscuits.

Serve with: Butter, honey, jam, or your favorite savory dish. These biscuits are versatile and can be enjoyed with both sweet and savory toppings.
