Praying Scripture— Rest

\”Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.\”

Matthew 11:28— NIV

And

\”The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters\”

Psalm 23:1-2— NIV

And

\” By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.\”

Genesis 2:2-3— NIV

Pray

Father God, thank you for a way and a path in life that brings Rest to life and Rest to our minds. Thank you for always planning out a way before us that is sure and steady. Thank you for the strength to pull aside from the busyness of our schedules and day, sit at your feet, and reap the rewards of Rest and peace. Thank you for being the God of Rest today.
