Dear One With Chronic Illness,

Having a chronic illness can bring a whole host of new needs into your life. You might need rides to doctor’s appointments, different medications, financial assistance, and emotional support as you cope.

Can I encourage you today, friend? God is the Provider who never fails. This is what Paul meant in Philippians 4:19.

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” — NASB

We can trust that God will always meet our needs. Whatever we need on earth he will always supply, even if it is courage to face death as Paul did. Whatever we need in Heaven he will supply. We must remember, however, the difference between our wants and needs.

Most people want to feel good and avoid any discomfort or pain. We may not all get what we want. But by trusting in Christ, our attitudes and appetites can change from wanting everything to accepting his provision and power to live for Him.

Whatever you need today, go to God in prayer. Share with Him and ask Him to meet your needs. Your Father delights to care for you!

Blessings, Paula

  2. Thank you so much, Lisa. This is not only where I will continue to share Jesus, but also will be focusing my chronic illness writings and homey and some random things too.
