This post was originally published on October 10, 2021 and is part of the Five Minute Friday blog link-up. Where I join up with a community of writers and bloggers of all ages and stages who gather around a single word prompt to free-write, unscripted, unedited, for five minutes.

Kate said COMPLETE. Boy, did I ever have to do some thinking and praying with this prompt. My thoughts were like squirrels running loose in my head. Oh, dear, which thought should I pick?

Maybe you\’ve used them or have seen them in the store—Complete Mix. Complete cookie, brownie, bread dough, or pancake mix. Just add water, milk, eggs, etc.

Your dictionary describes the word complete as \”to finish something, to make something whole, or see a task through to the end.
Having all necessary or normal parts, components, or steps; entire.\”

The word mix is described as \”to combine, join, blend or put together two or more things.\”

When I think of the word complete, I am reminded that God completes me. No other human being can do that.

You see, without Jesus, I am nothing more than dry, lifeless ingredients. These ingredients can be blown away by even the slightest of breezes.

When I asked Jesus into my life to be my Lord and savior, he joined his father, spirit, and himself within me. And in my adding his Word, praise, worship, fellowship, and following, I am made whole.

You see, like many, every time I tried to do life on my own, I failed. It wasn\’t until I had all the necessary components that I was made into a new creation as an adopted child of God.
