I was reflecting on the fact that Scripture is our book of instruction for life. We make purchases in the store or online and most items come with an instruction booklet of how to put it together in order for said product to function properly.

Sometimes when people make those purchases think they do not need to read the instructions, then find that the product in fact is not functioning properly; then they cave in and read the instructions. I\’m in error of this myself.

In addition to life\’s instructions, Scripture is also THE rule book for living the Christian life. Society has rules or (laws) that we should follow. Some such rules include public safety, criminal laws, civil rights laws, constitutions, due process laws regarding not being deprived of life, liberty, and property. And, if we do not follow those laws, we get punished.

Likewise, if Scriptural rules are failed to be followed, we will be punished accordingly as well. Jesus spoke very clearly and concisely in his teachings about the correct way to live the Christian life, repentance of sin, salvation, reconciliation, judge not, beware of false teachings, love your neighbor; Love the Lord, obeying/abiding, and much more.

What a faithful loving creator we have, for whoever believes in him can have eternal life with him.  That, my friends, is our life insurance policy.

Let\’s reflect

“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them”.

John 14:23 NIV

“In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.”

Hebrews 5:9 NLT

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\”

Romans 5:8 NIV

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”

1 John 3:1 NLT

\”I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.\”

Galatians 2:20 NIV

\”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.\”

John 3:16 NIV
